Welcome to Fountain of Blessings, a Messianic fellowship based on the foundation and Hebrew roots of the Christian faith. We teach from the Middle Eastern perspective, and encourage individual study and research of Scripture. Our Lord and Savior did instruct us soundly, "Salvation is from the Jews." (John 4). The Semitic perspective sheds unique light on the Word of God rendering the Scripture distinctly applicable and practical. Thus we allow God, the Fountain of Life and Blessings, to reign in, and rain on our lives. "In Your light, we see light." (Psalm 36).

Who is Y'shua? (Part I of III)

This is how the name "Jesus" would have been written in ancient Hebrew documents. The four letters or consonants from right to left are Yod, Shin, Vav, Ayin (Y, SH, OO, A). Jesus is the Greek name for the Hebrew name Joshua or Y'shua which means "The LORD or Yahweh is Salvation".

If God were a composer, we could say that He became the climax of His own symphony. As so eloquently put by Isaiah, "He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm worked salvation for him."1 The time came for God to appear in the flesh, to live a little while among us, and He chose to bring the Messiah out of the Jewish people.

Not that Israel or the Jews are more special, for God loves all nations. It is all about God's strategy. Although He began with the Jews, He said to the Messiah: "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."2

Quite simply, Y'shua is the radiance of God's own glory, and the exact representation of His being;3 the Anointed One. He is not just partly God. In Jesus, all the fullness of the Deity lives.4 His name is Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.5 And, He is not partly a man, but completely a human being, born of a virgin. He was a person, just like we are; in living he was tempted in every way.6

This is a great mystery, far beyond our ability to comprehend. Therefore, God affords us faith, to accept the truth of His incarnation, and experience salvation

But, what about Y'shua's identity.......................?
